With Viognier, it seems that it really hits its peak the second spring of its like (which for this wine would be about now but next year.) It's not gong to be miles better, but maybe another 20-30% more concentrated in its flavors and aromas. It's about when we tend to sell out of the wine as well.
On the other hand, Viognier tends not to benefit from a lot of aging. The great Viogniers of the world (specifically, Condrieu in the northern Rhone region of France) will shut down after a few years in the bottle and then revive around age 7-10. Assume ours is not one of those wines and drink it by the end of 2024.
