Our 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, estate-grown in our vineyard, is the forty-second vintage that has been harvested here. Originally planted in 1973, our soils are home to some of the oldest Cabernet vines on the East coast.
The 2021 vintage is a classic example of what our soils are capable of, creating a harmonious wine of balance and focus. The fruit is hand-harvested in October, fermented in small bins, and pressed directly to new French oak barrels. The wine was aged for 18 months with regular stirring of the lees, and then bottled in mid-2023.
